Inspiration Teaching Words of Life Healing & Joy

Continue in God’s Love

loves power

Being full of God’s love is the zenith of spiritual maturity! Our loving God longs for us to grow in His grace, which will take us to a higher spiritual place. Through times of experiencing God’s loving presence and peaceful trust or through trying times when our faith wavers and life is hard; we can always count on our heavenly Father to carefully use every situation in our lives to prune, repair, and heal our hearts and minds through His powerful love. During trying times and spiritual pruning, our loving Lord is intimately utilizing our circumstances to develop richer and more excellent fruit into our lives. The fruit of the Spirit that the Father longs to work into our hearts and minds are love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faith, gentleness (meekness, humility), and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). ‘Love is the greatest spiritual gift and power. Love is large and incredibly patient. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else. Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance. Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense. Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong. Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up’. Jesus said, “When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine” (John 14:8). Then Jesus said, “Continue in the Father’s love with me”. When we go further into the truths of our new covenant reality with Christ, we receive the power of the gospel to overcome sufferings. God’s unending love always sustains us and gives up hope. It is only in this love that we will be able to continue on and produce fruit and be transformed into our Father’s likeness. Many times  Jesus, who is Yahweh, the only true God, uses trials as tools to work constructive spiritual progress into our heart, mind, and soul. His work in our surrendered lives will produce the power of love, contentment, joy, faith, and peace, as our spiritual man gradually grows up and overshadows our fleshly man. God has the ability to use even what Satan meant for evil, and turn it around for our good and spiritual growth. So the next time life’s circumstances feel totally out of sorts… don’t be afraid….just remember God loves us more than we can comprehend, and He is in the process of working wonderful, spiritual, qualities(His qualities) into our lives. ‘May the love of God win every battle in your heart, bringing full restoration of your soul into the image of God, for God is love.’

“Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing’ (James 1:2-4).
