Healing & Joy Inspiration Teaching Words of Life

There Will Be Seasons of Joy!

Happiness is a good thing, but happiness tends to depend more on our circumstances. As we all know the situations of our lives are sometimes up and sometimes down- there is no constant in our ability to control our circumstances.  We will also pass through different spiritual seasons while we live on planet earth, and yes there will be seasons of joy!

True joy and gladness does not come from attempting to control our circumstances or desperately grasping for fleeting happiness, true joy comes from God, and yes there are seasons of joy  promised to every child of God. When we believe the lie that true joy and gladness occurs only when life is good and things are going our way, we set ourselves up to question God’s goodness and be robbed by the enemy of waiting on our God given joy.

The truth is this: God wants all of us to experience joy and gladness while living in this ever-changing, challenging world-and it is possible. A full measure of complete and overflowing joy abides in the mystery of Jesus’ love! His love for us is so enormous and powerful that it can lift us out of fear and worry and take us to the heights of joy, unspeakable and full of glory.

Jesus wants to maintain a personal relationship with each of us. On His side of the relationship, there is unconditional love, as He calls us to come to Him and continue on in His love. On our side of the relationship, we sometimes falter, but because His love is so much bigger than our weaknesses, we always have His open invitation to stay in relationship with Him and grow in love. That constant will never change in this world or the next.

When we continue in Jesus’ love, He delights in us, and our own joy and gladness will be complete and overflowing. This is His promise to us!

Maybe you have struggled for a long time; I want to tell you Jesus is going to bring you into a season of joy, unspeakable and full of His glory. Our Lord has the plan, power, and grace to take your sorrows and turn them around into joy and gladness! Believe me, you will receive the power to praise and rejoice because you have trusted in, leaned on, and relied on the Lord through the hard times. The joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold! Rejoice!

“I have loved you, [just] as the Father has loved Me; abide in My love [continue in His love with Me]. I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing” (John 15:9, 11).

“The Lord is my strength and my Shield; my heart trusts in, relies on, and confidently leans on Him and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will I praise Him”(Psalm 28:7).

“For the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold” (Nehemiah 8:10b).
