Inspiration Teaching Words of Life Healing & Joy

Unspeakable Joy Full of God’s Glory

joy unspeakable full of glory

Before the hour came that Jesus the Son would be lifted up to glorify, exalt and honor his Father through his crucifixion and resurrection; He intimately gathered with His own chosen ones at the last supper. At the table, Jesus, who is the Logos in flesh – spoke words of delight, knowledge, and wisdom to his beloved followers. These Words were spoken to encourage his beloved ones who would struggle to think back , remember, and ponder on what he had said, as they walked through the “hour of darkness” that was coming upon the world.

Jesus said, “You will weep and be overcome with grief over what happens to me. The unbelieving world will be happy, while you will be filled with sorrow. But know this your sadness will turn into joy when you see me again! The Father tenderly loves you, because you have loved me. I came out from the Father and have come into the world: again I am leaving the world and going to the Father. I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you-The Holy Spirit of Truth”.

Jesus profoundly proclaims, “The words I have spoken over you have already cleansed you. So enter into life-union with me, for I have entered into life-union with you”.  It is in this life-union with Christ that we receive the capacity to experience joy unspeakable and full of glory.

This type of joy is not just a festive mood; it is a high, spiritual place- a dwelling in the presence of the One who is in all that is. Joy is more durable than happiness, for it does not depend upon anything external. It is dependent only on faith and trust in the foundation and guidance of our awe-inspiring God.

When Mary Magdalene returned to the tomb after being cloistered in sadness for three days, she leaned far into the empty tomb. Only then did she rediscover the angel of joy: “Do not search among the dead for that which is living. Do not seek your happiness, or your joy in that which is mortal. Discover that which will never die within you, which is the Love that you gave and received from the Lord- because nothing and no one can ever take this oneness and joy that has been given to you”.

“I have told you these things that My joy and delight may be in you and that your joy an gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing” (John 15:11).
