John 13: 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."
What a journey to be on, to be followers of the Way. Jesus leads us by example, written down in the Bible's new testament in four different narratives of the same story (the gospels), giving four personal perspectives of the life of Jesus, whilst he walked the earth. He showed His love to his disciples, through feeding, caring, teaching and revealing the true character of God. But he also disciplined and corrected them. But here is a one sentence command that would change the world forever if we all obeyed. Love one another. Love one another as Jesus loves us. Copy Jesus in how he does that. Surrender, obey his commands and receive the revelation of God in us.
Prayer: Heavely Father, let us love one another as Christ loved us. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear His teaching from the Bible and courage to put it into action in our daily life. Let us be lovers, not haters, passionate for obeying Your commands. In Jesus name I ask, Amen.
